NeuroSky screening (baseline)

This is a repeatable wellness screening to track changes over time (not a diagnosis). It’s most useful when you run it the same way each time (same time of day, caffeine, sleep).

Baseline protocol (about 4–5 minutes)
  1. Settle
    30s
    Put on the headset, sit comfortably, minimal movement.
  2. Eyes open
    60s
    Look at a fixed point. Normal breathing.
  3. Eyes closed
    60s
    Relax jaw/forehead. Keep still.
  4. Paced breathing
    60s
    In 4s, out 6s (or comfortable slow breathing).
  5. Mental task
    60s
    Count backwards by 7s (or similar gentle focus task).
